My artistic life has taken numerous paths. Radio and television broadcasting and voice/overs have been a part of my life for more than forty years. During those years I have also been a professional actor, director, novelist, web and graphic designer and photographer.
Lee Strasberg said, "The theatre actor’s art dies the moment it is created." The photographer’s art is the opposite; it is born with the shutter’s click. The photograph is the instantaneous capturing of a specific moment of time. I am partial to portraits because the portrait captures the single breath of a life, a brief glimpse at the soul and spirit of an individual.
Photographing the landscape is similar. Painter Frederic Church sought the presence of God in all his work. It is that magical combination of shadow and light, that isolated moment of time and that breath of life that I work to capture.
